Where in the world am I moving? PUEBLA! (Enter to win a set of Souvenirs)

Where in the world contest

I spent two years living in Bangkok, and planned on spending two years in Rio de Janeiro..

But not everything goes according to plan.

Last month, my fiance received a job offer one day and we decided to leave Rio the next! He flew out for our new city a week later, and after I spent a few weeks in Rio and a few in Costa Rica – I’ve joined him!

While I knew I wouldn’t live in Brazil permanently, I expected to be here at least another year (until after the Olympics).

Life is full of surprises and this is a BIG one.

Where am I moving? To be honest, not somewhere I ever imagined myself. Likely, not someplace you ever imagined me, either!

So, we played a little game and I received a LOT of great guesses!

Where in the world contest

My new city…

…is REALLY old. Like, several hundreds of years old

…has streets upon streets of preserved, beautiful old buildings, just like I love. (Old. Is. Always. Better.)

…is the native home to one of my absolutely FAVORITE cuisines

…is known for being a foodie capital of the country, and maybe of the world. Several important national dishes trace their roots back here, and fancy pants chefs fly in all the time.

…speaks a language I love and have tried (and failed) to learn

…is known for its involvement in a major revolution

Where am I moving? Contest

What do you think?

I had 3 geography masters answer correctly – my new city is Puebla, Mexico! Kirstie of Venga Vale Vamos provided the first correct answer, so she’ll win a set of souvenirs from her choice of Rio de Janeiro or Puebla.

The contest isn’t over though, as I’ve decided to extend the at-random drawing, so you can still win a set of souvenirs. Enter anytime before December 25, and receive THREE extra entries for every friend you refer.

Now all you need to decide – Would you rather have a pair of Havaianas and a canga from Rio de Janeiro, or a set of SURPRISE souvenirs from Puebla?
